This site is to help find your CSA ancestors and or to extend you family tree. Here you may find an ancestor that will make you eligible for membership in the SCV and other historical originations such as the Sons of the American Revolution, War of 1812, Mexican War. Also Ladies originations as the UDC and Daughters of the American Revolution. Good luck! GENEALOGY TIP Have you ever wondered about relationship terms like “second cousin”, “first cousin” or “once removed”? Here are some definitions. First Cousin – people in your family who have two of the same grandparents as you....children of your aunts and uncles Second Cousin – people in your family who have the same great-grandparents as you, but not the same grandparents. Third, Fourth, and Fifth Cousins – 3rd cousins are people who have the same great-great- grandparents, 4th cousins are people who have the same great-great-great-grandparents....and so on. Removed – means that two people are from different generations – for example, your mother's first cousin is your first cousin, once removed. (You are one generation younger than your mother's first cousin) You and your grandmother's first cousin, are first cousins, twice removed. (You are two generations younger than a first cousin of your grandmother) These websites support “Free Genealogy” they are in random order.
